James Neve joined us nearly 4 years ago from Berkhamsted Baptist Church. and his wife Ruth (also an ordained minister) He was inducted at a service held in the chapel on Saturday, October 16th 2004.
We quickly established himself as part of an effective ministry team. He has recently led us into the Explore Together Grow Together training sessions aimed at deepening our fellowship togatheras a church.
There is a standing invitaion to anyone in the congregation to pray with him at 9.30am in the church, Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Previously, the last addition to the ministry team was Doreen Thornton. She was recognised by the North West Baptist Association as a minister in this region - a new fast track method of introducing people into the ministry.
Doreen is a long standing church member who graduated in Theology. Now she is developing ministries that began while studying.
Most recently, Ian Geere has joined the team. He has now started at the Northern Bible College, so is a mature student. (His wife and children hopefully agree!) Ian is partly based at 'HBC' but will also be ministering at other churches as part of his training.
